COLLECTIVE CARE FEMINIST EMBROIDERY

All genders welcome. No prior experience needed. Just bring yourself.

Join us at the Embroidery Club! ✨
For this edition of the Embroidery Club, we bring threads, stories, and conversations together around the topic of parenting.

🧵 We continue to explore a new format: each gathering centers on a theme we reflect on while stitching — or simply being together.

🪡 The first hour of the session will be a skill-share, where those new to embroidery can learn some basic techniques.

🌱 Afterwards, we’ll open up a conversation on:
What does it mean to parent in today’s world?
How do societal expectations shape caregiving roles — and how do we challenge them?
What unique joys and struggles do queer parents experience?
How can we (re)imagine care structures that are truly supportive, inclusive, and just?

We’ll be joined by Betty, who explores queer parenting in her research, and several FemLink members with parenting experience, who will share insights from their lived realities.

🧵 Whether this conversation inspires your embroidery or you just want to listen, rest, or stitch something else — all forms of presence are welcome. This is a space for connection, creativity, and collective care.

✨ All genders welcome. No prior experience needed. Just bring yourself.
